Songwriter Kara DioGuardi stole the show during “American Idol” season eight and nine. She’s now moved on to a starring role in the Tony-award winning musical, Chicago. DioGuardi shows of her singing and dancing chops during the show. We’ll sit down with her in the morning to get the low-down.
“Battle of the Dance” is an electrifying new dinner-dance show in Anaheim that combines Flamenco, Celtic, Bollywood and Latin dance styles. On Wednesday dancers from the show performed for us live on GDLA.

A few years ago no one would have believed that the creators of the raunchy cartoon series South Park would clean up at the “Tony Awards”, but they sure did Sunday night. Matt Stone and Trey Parker walked off with nine Tonys for their Book of Mormon, including Best Musical.
Daniel Radcliffe served as Master of Ceremonies for Broadway event that let NYC school kids make their Broadway stage debut. The program is sponsored by the Shubert Foundation, MTI JR., and NYCDOE. Radcliffe also spoke of Sunday’s “Tony Awards”.
The “Burn The Floor” show at the Pantages Theatre is part of a huge dance revival. The show brings together the best dancers from FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and lets them demonstrate their love and passion for their art.
You probably remember Anya (Gernis) and Pasha (Kovalev) from Season 3 of “So you think you can dance.” Now they are part of the Theatre production “Burn the Floor”.
“Burn the Floor” will be presented at the Aronoff Centre. We talk with the dancers to see how a dance workout can burn calories.
