Mamma Mia… here they go again! What do you get when you mix one beautiful wedding, one ABBA superfan bride (hi Taylor! ), and a family that LOVES to dance? A top-secret Wedding Dance Surprise that’s pure joy and disco magic! Parents Kathy & Brian, and sister/brother-in-law dream team Krystin & Michael, teamed up to surprise Ryan and welcome Taylor into the family – ABBA-style! And guess what? This is their third custom wedding dance with us at danceScape. That’s right, we’re basically the unofficial choreographers of their family legacy. Bonus cuteness: Baby Ainsley #NextGen was still in Krystin’s tummy when she joined us for virtual danceFLOW qigong/taichi with the grandparents during COVID. From First Steps to Forever Friends We were so touched to receive a beautiful bouquet from our Semi-Private students — Gail, Michael, Sheila, Stephen, Gillian, and Dave. A gesture that speaks volumes about the journey we’ve shared. Michael and Stephen began dancing with their spouses, Gail and Sheila, in our Absolute Beginners group class. There, they met Dave and Gillian — and what started as learning steps soon turned into laughter, friendship, and a deep sense of connection. Now, through Ballroom and Latin Semi-Private lessons, we’ve seen them grow not only in dance but in confidence and camaraderie. The way they support one another is truly inspiring. From Open House to Open Hearts At danceScape, we don’t just teach dance — we build community, connection, and a sense of belonging that feels like family. Earlier this year, Patricia joined us after attending one of our Open House events. Originally from Mexico, she brought with her a beautiful spirit, a warm smile, and a love of dance that lit up our studio. A few weeks ago, she surprised us with a visit from her mamá, who had come all the way from Mexico — and who instantly felt the embrace of our danceScape family. And now, a new chapter begins — in just a few weeks, Patricia’s entire family will be starting their new life here in Canada. And guess what? Her mom wants to keep dancing with us too. We are so honoured to welcome them not just into our classes, but into our hearts.
