“So You Think You Can Dance” Recap

New year. New challenge. Same love of movement. ✨ This winter, Beverley stepped outside her comfort zone and started personal fitness coaching for the very first time with @shahab_madmind — and it’s been energizing, grounding, and fun. Dynamic circuit training set to Salsa, Merengue, Bachata & Hip Hop music. 🎶 Strength, coordination, breath — all guided by rhythm. This week, Robert joined in, and it was instantly clear how naturally this workout supports his own danceTONE cardio and danceFLOW qigong/taichi at @danceScape. Different practices, same language of movement. After retiring from competitive Ballroom Dancing (DanceSport) more than 28 years ago — and having competed as partners for 10 years before that — Robert and Beverley are 3-time Canadian and 2-time North American Ballroom Champions, and represented Canada at five World Championships. While they are often the ones motivating others, it was refreshing to see inspiration flowing both ways within our own community. And the full-circle joy: Shahab and his wife Gina also take Salsa Open Variations at @danceScape 💃🕺 This is what community looks like — people supporting, inspiring, and lifting each other through movement.
