❤️ THIS LINE DANCE WENT VIRAL IN ASIA...
So, naturally, Autumn @autumnhavanese decided to learn it with Robert. 🐶😂
And now we’re bringing it to Burlington!
danceScape has been invited by @redleaf_cultural_integration to lead a fun interactive dance lesson at Chinese Rhythm & Taste — eat make share: dine & dance on Saturday, July 18 at Joseph Brant Museum.
Inspired by a viral Mandopop line dance from China—with the energy of today’s Asian pop dance trends—it has something surprisingly familiar hidden inside...
💃 A little Merengue.
❤️ A little Bachata.
🕺 A little Cha Cha.
🪩 And even a little Disco.
Different cultures. Familiar rhythms.
And sometimes, all it takes is one dance to bring people together. ❤️
🎉 Already registered and coming to the event?
We’ve created a special pre-event lesson so you can learn the dance before you arrive.
📧 Email support@dancescape.com and let us know you’re coming.
Then join us at the museum for the lesson and refresher—and dance it together with us!
🐶 And as for Autumn...
She has another story to tell.
Stay tuned for our next interview. 🎥🐾

❤️ HOW DO WE BEGIN TO RISE AGAIN?
Stories from the Ballroom | Heidi’s Story — Part 2
After the loss came grief.
Then loneliness.
Heidi knew she needed to get out. To be around people again. To find something that once brought her joy.
So she took a chance.
She walked into danceScape.
What followed was music, dancing, new friendships—and a night when her mother saw something she hadn’t seen in a long time.
Heidi was happy again. ❤️
Sometimes, moving forward doesn’t mean leaving someone behind.
Sometimes, it simply means allowing ourselves to live again.

❤️ CAN WE RISE AFTER LOSING SOMEONE WE LOVE?
Stories from the Ballroom | Heidi’s Story — Part 1
Heidi thought there would be more time.
Time for treatment.
Time to prepare.
Time to understand what was happening.
There wasn’t.
After losing her life partner, Heidi found herself trying to survive a reality she had never imagined.
For the first month, she says she was like a zombie—doing just enough to get through each day.
Until she decided to talk to someone.
❤️ Sometimes, the first step forward is simply asking for help.
Heidi’s Story continues in Part 2.

❤️ CAN WE RISE AFTER LOSING SOMEONE WE LOVE?
Stories from the Ballroom | Heidi’s Story
When Heidi first walked through our doors, we knew she loved to dance.
What we didn’t know was the journey that had brought her there.
After losing her life partner to cancer, Heidi was left facing a devastating loss that happened far more quickly than she ever imagined.
Now, she shares her story—in her own words.
A story of love. Loss. Grief. And, eventually, finding a way to begin living again.
❤️ This is where Heidi’s story begins.
🎥 Full conversation coming soon.

🌿 What if movement could help you find strength again?
Through breath.
Through rhythm.
Through flow.
Sometimes strength doesn’t arrive all at once.
It begins quietly—in the way we breathe, the way we regain our balance, and the way we learn to flow through change.
That is part of what we explore through danceFLOW qigong/taichi at danceScape.
Not performance.
Not pressure.
A gentle practice curated from qigong and tai chi, with music and rhythm, to support mobility, balance, relaxation, and well-being.
Because perhaps one of the deepest lessons in movement is also a lesson for life:
In falling, we rise again.

🌿 YOU’V HEARD OF TAI CHI... But What About Qigong?
Tai chi may be more familiar. But qigong is one of the ancient practices that helped shape the world of Chinese movement, breath, and well-being.
While tai chi often flows through a sequence of movements and forms, qigong can be much more profound: breathing, gently moving, tapping the body, releasing tension, and reconnecting body and mind.
That simplicity is one reason we love it.
At danceScape, danceFLOW qigong/taichi brings together carefully curated fundamentals from both practices—then adds something from our own world: music and rhythm.
No long forms to memorize.
No performance. No pressure.
Just a gentle way to improve mobility, balance, relaxation, and well-being—and rediscover the pleasure of moving.

WHY IS TAI CHI TRENDING? 🌿
More people are discovering what millions have known for centuries.
Tai chi and qigong aren't about moving faster—they're about moving better.
Research continues to show benefits for balance, mobility, stress reduction, coordination, and healthy aging. But perhaps the greatest benefit is something simpler: reconnecting breath, body, and rhythm.
At danceScape, we've curated these timeless principles into danceFLOW qigong/taichi—a gentle, beginner-friendly program that blends qigong, tai chi, rhythmic movement, and music.
No experience required. No pressure to perform. Just a welcoming way to move with greater ease, confidence, and well-being.

❤️ Every Unforgettable Celebration Ends on the Dance Floor
After the performances, the energy shifted as everyone was invited to join in the celebration.
These moments were captured at Latin Night at the Museum – eat make share: dine & dance, where music, culture, storytelling, and social dancing brought our community together.
Together, we stepped into the rhythms of four beloved Latin dances:
💃 Merengue
💃 Bachata
💃 Salsa
💃 Cha Cha
Some guests arrived with experience.
Others were discovering these dances for the very first time.
But as soon as the music began, distinctions faded—and the dance floor became a shared space for all.
That’s the magic of social dancing.
It connects us—through music, movement, and moments of joy—one step at a time.
❤️ Move Together. Share the Rhythm.
